DAWN PATROL

This year my painting, Dawn Patrol, was included in the American Watercolor Society’s 145th Annual International Exhibition. It was held at the Galleries of the Salmagundi Club in New York.
In March I taught a workshop at the 404 Ranch near Stephenville, Texas. The accommodations and hospitality were exemplary, and two excellent paintings were completed by each of the students.
Recently returning to the Stephenville area on a photo shoot, I was able to collect an abundant amount of Longhorn cattle reference material.
With my continuing commitment to art, I constantly create paintings, as well as, mat and frame prints in the studio. My gallery in Taos, Sage Fine Art, continues to be successful.

This painting of Longhorn cattle was composed using photos of individual cattle. I arranged the cattle so that the depth and composition worked for the final image.
